Connect Microsoft OneDrive

Connect your Microsoft OneDrive account so you can import files into AIR Fusion.

Connect your Microsoft OneDrive account to AIR Fusion so you can import files directly from it. You only need to do this once; after it’s connected, you can import from OneDrive any time you upload files.

Before you begin

  • You need a Microsoft account with access to the OneDrive files you want to import. No specific AIR Fusion role or permission is required to connect.
  • If your organization requires admin approval for new app connections, connecting may take longer than one session. See step 7 below.

Connect your OneDrive account

  1. Click your avatar, then click Profile.

  2. In the Profile panel, click Integrations.

The Integrations tab of the Profile panel, showing Microsoft OneDrive as Not connected next to a Connect button

  3. Next to Microsoft OneDrive, click Connect. This opens Microsoft sign-in in a new browser tab.

  4. Enter the email address for the account you want to connect and click Next, or pick it from the list if it’s already shown.

  5. Enter your password and click Next.

  6. If prompted, approve the sign-in request. Whether you see this depends on your organization’s or personal Microsoft account’s security settings.

Warning: Connecting gives AIR Fusion permission to read all files you can access in OneDrive, and to keep that access until you disconnect it.

  1. If your organization requires admin approval for new app connections, you’ll see an Approval required screen instead of connecting right away.
    • Enter a justification for requesting the app, then click Request approval. This sends the request to your IT admin.
    • The tab may then show a Connection Error page (“Something went wrong”). This doesn’t mean the request failed. Close the tab and return to AIR Fusion.
    • Watch your email for your IT admin’s decision. Once they approve it, come back and repeat step 3. You won’t see the approval screen again.
  2. AIR Fusion reopens the Integrations tab with Microsoft OneDrive now showing Connected.

Result

Microsoft OneDrive shows Connected in your Integrations tab. You can now import files from OneDrive when you upload files in AIR Fusion.

To disconnect the account later, return to Profile > Integrations and click Disconnect next to Microsoft OneDrive.

Troubleshooting

“Something went wrong” / “The provider declined the connection”

You’ll see this on a Connection Error tab after requesting admin approval to connect. It’s expected while your request is pending, not a sign that connecting failed. This page looks the same whether your admin hasn’t decided yet or has declined the request, so if retrying doesn’t work after a reasonable wait, check with your IT admin directly rather than assuming it’s still pending. Close the tab, return to AIR Fusion, and wait for your IT admin’s decision by email. Once they approve it, go back to Profile > Integrations and click Connect again.
