Import files from Google Drive

Import files and folders from a connected Google Drive account into AIR Fusion.

Import files or folders from your Google Drive straight into AIR Fusion, without downloading them first.

Before you begin

  • You can connect Google Drive and browse its files without any special permission. You need upload permission in AIR Fusion to complete an import.
  • Connect your Google Drive account before you start. Clicking Import from > Google Drive fails if it isn’t connected.
  • Google Docs convert to PDF and Google Sheets convert to XLSX when imported.
  • Importing only reads from Google Drive. AIR Fusion doesn’t write, edit, or delete anything in your Drive account.

Import files or folders from Google Drive

  1. Click Upload.
  2. Click Import from, then choose Google Drive.
  3. In the Browse Google Drive window, select what you want to import.
    • A single file from the root: click its checkbox.
    • Multiple files from the root: click the checkbox next to each file.
    • An entire folder: click the folder’s checkbox instead of opening it. AIR Fusion imports the folder and its contents.
    • One or more files inside a subfolder: click the folder name to open it, then click the checkbox next to each file you want. You can nest into subfolders as many levels as you need.
  4. Click Import (N), where N is the number of items you selected. Click Cancel instead to close the window without importing anything.

Result

AIR Fusion imports the files or folder you selected into your Files list. Google Docs arrive as PDF files and Google Sheets arrive as XLSX files; other file types keep their original format. An imported folder keeps its files together as a folder in AIR Fusion.
